~~~~SOME THINGS YOU JUST LOVE~~~~
Some things, you just love!!! And for me~it's this sweet bowl with a nest in a branch of a tree. The nest has five little white eggs in it!
These little birds are so sweet! When I saw them I just had to have them, so now they live with me all over the house. They go with so many things I own. I love creating vignettes with them.
This -nest- my son found, he brought it home so carefully in his sweet little hands. I will always treasure it. IT'S PERFECT!!!!! Now I know you are not to get nest from the wild, but this one is MINE!!!!!!!!! I'll never forget the look on my son's face when he placed his sweet treasure in my hands!!!!! HIS WHOLE FACE LIT UP WHEN HE SAW THE SMILE ON MY FACE!!! He knew I'd LOVE it!!!!!!!
I LOVE THIS BOWL.
I got this tin the same day I bought the scissors and easel. Remember, from an earlier post? I would like to stop here for a moment and tell you about TWO new bloggers -------FIRST--Please visit Regina, at " The Willow Rose". She has the most beautiful log home that she is decorating in FRENCH STYLE!!!!!! JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!! She has done alot of the painting and distressing of the furniture herself. She's new to blogland!!!!! Just click on her site name and take in all the beauty and don't forget to leave a sweet word of encouragement!!!!-----Second----Donna, at " The Country Nest ". She is brand new to blogging, she loves all things country, family and gardening. Very sweet!!! Go take a peek, and leave a hug behind!!!!
I loved this when I saw it, it was meant for Christmas but I leave it out all year. It goes with everything, even if it didn't I would still leave it out~ the BIRD makes me HAPPY!!!
Just a little close up!
HAPPY LITTLE BIRDS
Just pull things from your yard to dress things up when you're posting, a little GREEN goes a long way! Look at the things you have around in your house, you might surprise yourself at what beautiful vignette you can create.
Add a little sparkle with old jewelry.
I LIKE MIXING TEXTURE WITH COLOR.
Can you see the red in the rust on the keys? See how it works with the sweet gum balls and pine comb?
Vintage Lace, vintage shoe buckle, broken vintage neckless -- just because it's broken doesn't mean it still can't be beautiful!!! Add a sweet little seashell and a little wooden egg and now you have---- PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!
*****PEARLS*****
~~~~~~~~I LOVE THIS BOWL~~~~~~~~

See the gold leaves~~~~love it!!!

THIS TIN HAS BALL FEET

""""" AND A FLAT TOP! GREAT FOR DISPLAYING BEAUTIFUL THINGS"""""

I hope you have enjoyed all my little tips and treasures!

~~~~JUST NEVER FORGET THE LOVE AND LACE~~~~
"SOME THINGS IN A CAGE MAKE MY HEART SING!!!"
I love bird cages! All shapes and sizes. New and old! Throw in a "BEAUTIFUL" little nest and my heart leaps with joy!!!
Add a vintage brooch and a sweet little angel and now it's a little bit of heaven!
I like to use these little houses to display my treasures! They seem to just draw you into the cage with them.
This is a vintage bird cage, it's a Hendrix, everything was there when I bought it even the tray inside and the stand! I like how the bottom is bent, it adds to the story of it's past life!
This little water dish wouldn't stay put, but alittle vintage ribbon did the trick. Don't you just love the little cement bird planter?
These are pictures with the cage part off the base.
I LOVE THIS NEST !!! IT'S PERFECT!!!!
I collect old keys. Among many other things!
I use books to elevate things, to give height and importance!
Don't you just love these sweet little love birds!!!!
Do you see Cupid?
Basket of bird eggs anyone?
" HOW SWEET "
Pictures with the bird cage door open! See Cupid with his arrow?
I used a key to keep the door open.
This little picture belonged to my grandmother.
OOOPS!!!! This picture is for the next time, see the bowl in the background?
" BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER "
Well, I'm back!! And today I have some pretty things to look at. These are from a trip I made to one of my favorite little shops. It's called the " This and That ", cause it has alittle of this and alittle of that! Go figure? Anyway it only has a little path about 18 inches wide to walk around the shop. I love places like that, don't you? I find some of the coolest things in shops like this. And you can get great deals if you look for them. Alot of the time if you're not interested in things being perfect you can walk away with alot of treasure for a small amount of money. And this day I spent $3.25. I was one happy treasure hunter! I really liked the little yellow and red tin, ( altered art maybe? ) We'll see!!! The large spool of thread is from " Sears and Roebuck ", the scissors are old, they are stamped " R.J.ROBERTS " razor. I love the patina. I found all the sewing notions in a tub, the owner was getting ready to trash some of these goodies. Now they will become works of art or, just admired for they're simple beauty.
This was the first thing I found at the " This And That " shop!! I absolutely fell in love with it!!! It's a table easel, but it also has a hook on the back so you can hang it on the wall. LOVE IT!!!
This part of the easel was missing. But that's o.k., I'll fix it. I have plans for this beauty!!!
Don't you just love this sweet little bird? It was headed for the trash by a woman who had bought a wreath from the same shop. ( She didn't like to touch feathers! ) But ... the sweet little gentleman who owned the shop, had the good presence of mind to rescue this little gem! And now she is my PINK TREASURE!!!!!!!!
I loved this little shoe, it has been crocheted around, something they did in the late 40's and 50's, the dogwood blossom came off a vanity tray that was at the same little shop I visited that day. It was laying in the tray, didn't want the tray, just the blossom. You'll see what I do with it later! The rhinestone thing is a shoe buckle. I like bling, bling!! I know I'll find a good use for it in some art piece in the future. It's always the things people consider trash that I love!
These teaspoons are from the 50's, I think. When ever I find these type of teaspoons, I buy them, they're hard to find. And these were so pretty, I love that they are shaped like leaves! They were .25 each!!! What a deal!!! Well, it's been a long time coming, but I believe I've done it! I hope you will enjoy my modest offerings for your viewing pleasure. I love taking pictures and creating vignettes out of the beautiful things I collect. These are just the beginnings of : "MY BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION INTO THE BLOG WORLD"
" Setting Things In Order "
Well , If you have been wondering where I've been? I've been setting things in order in my studio. " NESTING "... I am very anxious to get more pictures posted. Also " Misty " (my oldest daughter, Amelia's mama ) and I went shopping for Amelia's birthday cake. The theme is cupcakes, cause she's our little cupcake! SOOOO, the hunt was on Sat., for a bakery to make a large cupcake, cake!!! Well, we found one, a place called " Gabriel's Desserts ", Johnnie Gabriel is the owner. Well, I didn't know it, but she is Paula Deen's cousin! How cool is that? Johnnie is very sweet, and a christian, (I love blessing the body of Christ.) So needless to say we now have a cake ordered! It's been a challenge to find things with cupcakes on them for the party. Misty did order the SWEETEST PARTY HAT from Sita at " Silver Spoon Scraps ". She has vintage inspired things for your home and baby, and really PRETTY custom party hats!!! The party is two weeks away and we've really been busy. I can hardly believe Amelia is going to be a year old! It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home. Where does the time go? I'll post pictures tomorrow. Just wanted to check in to let you know what I've been up to. Oh, by the way, THANK-YOU KIMISKANVAS for becoming a following friend. I tried to visit you but I couldn't because I had no blog address and your profile doesn't leave a link either. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not. But I wanted you to know I APPRECIATE your kindness. Blessings Always My Dear Friends, Deborah
