Well, I'm back!! And today I have some pretty things to look at. These are from a trip I made to one of my favorite little shops. It's called the " This and That ", cause it has alittle of this and alittle of that! Go figure? Anyway it only has a little path about 18 inches wide to walk around the shop. I love places like that, don't you? I find some of the coolest things in shops like this. And you can get great deals if you look for them. Alot of the time if you're not interested in things being perfect you can walk away with alot of treasure for a small amount of money. And this day I spent $3.25. I was one happy treasure hunter! I really liked the little yellow and red tin, ( altered art maybe? ) We'll see!!! The large spool of thread is from " Sears and Roebuck ", the scissors are old, they are stamped " R.J.ROBERTS " razor. I love the patina. I found all the sewing notions in a tub, the owner was getting ready to trash some of these goodies. Now they will become works of art or, just admired for they're simple beauty.
This was the first thing I found at the " This And That " shop!! I absolutely fell in love with it!!! It's a table easel, but it also has a hook on the back so you can hang it on the wall. LOVE IT!!!
This part of the easel was missing. But that's o.k., I'll fix it. I have plans for this beauty!!!
Don't you just love this sweet little bird? It was headed for the trash by a woman who had bought a wreath from the same shop. ( She didn't like to touch feathers! ) But ... the sweet little gentleman who owned the shop, had the good presence of mind to rescue this little gem! And now she is my PINK TREASURE!!!!!!!!
I loved this little shoe, it has been crocheted around, something they did in the late 40's and 50's, the dogwood blossom came off a vanity tray that was at the same little shop I visited that day. It was laying in the tray, didn't want the tray, just the blossom. You'll see what I do with it later! The rhinestone thing is a shoe buckle. I like bling, bling!! I know I'll find a good use for it in some art piece in the future. It's always the things people consider trash that I love!
These teaspoons are from the 50's, I think. When ever I find these type of teaspoons, I buy them, they're hard to find. And these were so pretty, I love that they are shaped like leaves! They were .25 each!!! What a deal!!! Well, it's been a long time coming, but I believe I've done it! I hope you will enjoy my modest offerings for your viewing pleasure. I love taking pictures and creating vignettes out of the beautiful things I collect. These are just the beginnings of : "MY BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION INTO THE BLOG WORLD"

Deborah those teaspoons are to die for, they are so different. You found some really lovely things. Everything in and around us is so picked over, or so expensive.
