" The Small Things Mean So Much "

I love the color RED. And when this came in the mail ~ I was reduced to tears. What a lovely surprise ! Beth of ~ " Barn Owl Studio " is a collage artist. She and I started blogging about the same time. We became quick friends. I have loved her work from the first time I saw it. She's quite gifted, although she is hesitant to say so. So it is with " we " artist we're our own worst critics! But her work speaks for itself !!!Beth had a little trouble with her blog one day and I with
all " MY " computer savyness went over to help!
Well, her problem got fixed~~
BUT~~ I lost my background~~~ so what did this computer guru DO ???
I sent out an ~~S.O.S.~~to
none other than the computer wizard~~~
Dawn ~~at ~ " The Feathered Nest "
You see Dawn ( whom some of us lovingly call "mamabird" )
was the first person to encouraged us to step out~~
spread our wings and fly!!
SOOOO~~
Mamabird ~fixed my booboo and made it all better!!!
Well~~~my one small act of kindness touched Beth~~
and Beth has touched me~~
I truly am humbled by her act of kindness.
I now own a piece of her art work !!
For me that means alot~~
it came from her heart~~made by her hands~
You see blogging is more than pretty pictures, although we all love them~~ it's about community~it's reaching out beyond our own needs and trying to meet the needs of others~~it's ministry~~it's" BEING JESUS " IN THAT MOMENT ~to that one person you are touching right then~~~we ALL have a message~ we ALL can do something to help ease the suffering of others~ IT STARTS WITH JUST ONE SMALL ACT OF KINDNESS ~~~BY ONE WILLING HEART~~~YOU~~~ME~~~WE TOGETHER~ FORM AN ARMY~~~A FORMIDABLE ARMY~~~LET'S SPREAD HIS LOVE~~~WHAT WILL BE YOUR ~SMALL~RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS~~~REMEMBER~~UNITED WE STAND~~~UNITED WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE~~UNITED ~~" WE "~~~CAN BRING ABOUT CHANGE~~IT'S NOT ABOUT THE POWERS THAT BE THAT WILL BRING ABOUT CHANGE~~~IT'S ABOUT THE HEART OF THE PEOPLE~~JOHN13:35~~~BY THIS SHALL ALL MEN KNOW YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU HAVE LOVE ONE TO ANOTHER...............Lord, Please Begin With Me.......Beth ~ you've touched me more than you know~~you are indeed a Treasure!!!

Yes that Beth is something else. Special doesn't even begin to describe her. I enjoy her blog and one day she and a friend had gone searching for trinkets and I said I wished that I was closer, I'd go too. Next thing I know she has mailed me trinkets. Lots of charms, all can be used beautifully in my crazy quilting. I posted pictures of them a few posts back if you want to peak. Yes blogging can bring us to many new friendships, even if we never meet. And yes Beth is special. Sharon

WOW! What a powerful post Deborah! I sooooooooo believe you are right about all that you said. I love the red bird mixed media piece. Wonderful indeed! And what do you think of our "Mamma Bird" being a MiMi? Dawn told me she hoped that Clara would call her MiMi & I told her I bet that baby will call her anything she wants to be called. Glad you were able to fix the background. And see... you helped someone else with their blog problem. I remember not so very long ago you didn't know how to post pictures. LOOK AT YOU GO NOW GIRL!!!!!! Keep up the good work. Have a great week.

Deborah, I am humbled by your response, thank you for the kind words. But most of all thank you for being a friend. You are right you know, we are more than pretty pictures. We are women of courage, heart, and strength. Each of us has a gift. I believe God put us together to share in those gifts.
Life is in session, we are on the journey together. Bless you my friend. And to all the women out there that He puts in our path.

Hi Deborah,

First off this post is just lovely…..so many nice people one meets along the way and with so much heart. I agree with you totally!

Just popped over to visit your blog ….soooo romantic! I adore just everything here…especially the birds, nests, cages and jewels. Your home could be my own but at the moment it is in dire need of a clean up and revamp….hehe…busy creating. I’m notorious for searching out flea markets thrift stores and church sales with the occasional Antique store and collect birds, nests {real ones}like a humming bird one I had and the cat got to it and jewels but only have a couple of little cages. Yours is a very charm one. Glad to meet you and your work is gorgeous!

Deborah,
Your sweet comments on my Friends/flowers post touched my heart! Thank you.

Speaking of sharing your heart, this post is wonderful, and such a good reminder about how even the little things can change lives.
And my prayer would also be, "Lord, start with me."

Blessings sweet friend.

PS It is god to have you back more often. =0)

If you will notice on my side bar I have the scripture John 13:35. That plaque was my Mother's and when she went to be with the Lord, I had the priviledge to receive it to hang in my home. That scripture has so much meaning to me and I know to you also....Thank you for the lovely thoughts today! Sharon

Hi Deborah! Thank you so much for coming by and visiting me at my home and garden blog. I really love making new friends and hope that in time we can get to know each other better. This post really touched my heart. I am constantly amazed at how wonderful, and generous the blogging community really is. People who are virtually strangers step up and help each other out all the time. I am going to add you to my blog list because I found your blog so entertaining!!!

I hope to talk to you soon,

Karen

Beautiful post and well written I am new to blogging community and amazed of the talent, acts of kindness and the respect that is shared between beautiful sites. To me while the rest of the world at times is in turmoil the blogging community has joined together to spread peace joy and love to one another. The encouragement, honor, and praise that is shared throughout is inspiring. Hidden away in my studio for years I have always lived in my own idealistic world, now I know it does exist. You have a beautiful site will visit again. Sincerely, Jonny
