" Setting Things In Order "

Well , If you have been wondering where I've been? I've been setting things in order in my studio. " NESTING "... I am very anxious to get more pictures posted. Also " Misty " (my oldest daughter, Amelia's mama ) and I went shopping for Amelia's birthday cake. The theme is cupcakes, cause she's our little cupcake! SOOOO, the hunt was on Sat., for a bakery to make a large cupcake, cake!!! Well, we found one, a place called " Gabriel's Desserts ", Johnnie Gabriel is the owner. Well, I didn't know it, but she is Paula Deen's cousin! How cool is that? Johnnie is very sweet, and a christian, (I love blessing the body of Christ.) So needless to say we now have a cake ordered! It's been a challenge to find things with cupcakes on them for the party. Misty did order the SWEETEST PARTY HAT from Sita at " Silver Spoon Scraps ". She has vintage inspired things for your home and baby, and really PRETTY custom party hats!!! The party is two weeks away and we've really been busy. I can hardly believe Amelia is going to be a year old! It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home. Where does the time go? I'll post pictures tomorrow. Just wanted to check in to let you know what I've been up to. Oh, by the way, THANK-YOU KIMISKANVAS for becoming a following friend. " YOU ALL BRING ME SO MUCH JOY "

Dear Friends, I can't tell you how it warms my heart to see my followers list growing ! Even without pictures. You guys are the best ! I'm having a little trouble with several things. First, I'd like a nice robin's egg blue background for my blog, Second, I'd like a nice " Banner " this is very important to me because it says who I am. And that's just the dressy part , never mind all the technical part. I've really been working hard trying to teach myself how to type and put the blog together, it's been a challenge because I'm not at all familiar with computer language. I've gotten alot of help from Dawn at " The Feathered Nest ", she's the one who really encouraged me to step out and here I am , spreading my wings!! I'm still working on the links thing. I hope I've figured it out. If not then I'll be up again tonight! I mean it , I'm not one to give up!!! Once I start something I stick with it till I master it. Amelia's Birthday

Well Friends, I've really been busy this week, I've been preparing for my granddaughter's first birthday, it's Feb. 5th. The glitter and glue have been flying!!! I love PINK, I have two grand children, Noah, who just turned one, Jan 7th, and Amelia, who is about to turn one!! I also keep Amelia during the week while my daughter works, and watching her is my absolute pleasure. I LOVE BEING A GRANDMOTHER!!!!!!!! I'll have more pics soon and I'll be launching my etsy shop , I'll keep you posted! I've got some surprises coming!!! I am so grateful for each and every one of you. Blessings, Deborah

" I DID IT "

Well friends, I DID IT!!!!!!!! My first pictures are up !!!! This is an ATC card I painted. It is oils on canvas, and was painted from a photo I had. It is a " Hyacinthe " macaw , they are an endangered species. I love his blue feathers! I love painting birds and birds nest ,as you will see very soon! It's really cold outside today, but my heart is warm. I'm really thankful today because of all the " Warm Hearts And Warm Hands " out there. Everyday brings more joy, sometimes it's the simplest things that can make all the difference in a person's life. A hand up , when someone is down; a hand extended , when someone is feeling lonely; a hand to hold , when you're afraid. Our hands can do many wonderful things . They can help so many on this journey. Our hands nurture, they heal, they create, they show expressions of love, they minister grace, they labor, they repair hearts that are broken; OUR LOVELY HANDS !!!!!!! Truly ; ---- WE ALL -- ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE !!!!!!! And what is it about " The Heart Of A Woman " that we can be moved with such compassion, joy, love, forgiveness, thoughtfulness...."LIFE"....Have you ever thought about That? God- MADE -us to create ...to bring forth ..."LIFE"...in everything we do, and it becomes an expression of HIM!!!! What I expect to happen is when I post you'll see the name of her sight, it will be highlighted, then you should be able to click on her sights name and the link should take you to her sight. I did everything she instructed me to do but when the box opens and I paste the address, it comes up but I want it to be hidden. The name should be highlighted and the address hidden. We'll see!! "One Foot In Front Of The Other"

A sweet new friend told me, to put one foot in front of the other. So here I gooooo... These dear friends, are my small beginnings and every step is a treasure. The last time I spoke to you all, I left you with the question "Now What?" Well, I've been learning to navigate through the blog world. I've run into a few things I need help with. One .. how do I highlight someones sight when I mention them on my sight? I believe in giving credit where credit is due. And there are so many beautiful bloggers and sights out there , I would love to redirect them to more inspiration. And you all inspire me! Two...How do I post pictures on my sight? I'd really love for you to see my artwork, after all that is part of my dream. Oh wait I just received an e-mail from Dawn at "The Feathered Nest". Okay, now I have a little more to go on. I'm going to try to do some of the things Dawn taught me and we'll see if I get an "A". I really try to be a good student. Thank-You so much Dawn, you're the best!!!! I'm Stepping Out ,Eyes Wide Open!!!!

Well, here I Goooo... I'm going to do it!! I MEAN IT, I REALLY AM!!!!!! This is my first blog post.I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks after all, because up until Nov. I didn't even know how to turn on a computer.And look at me now, I'm even typing. My whole family is shocked! I used to watch all of them just peck away and say , Oh, that's nice. I guess I'm a big girl now! Ha, ha. Well, enough of patting myself on the back. What started me on this blogging journey is, I have a dream. And I'm determined to see it happen.Let me back up a bit.I started cruising the web a little, and found a link to" The Feathered Nest", and without even her knowing it, Dawn became my friend. Isn't it amazing how that happens, just by (accident) .I truly believe God is in the smallest of details. And He knows my heart. So I started following her blog everyday. NOW here's where my jump comes in ,Dawn said ;"Just Do It!!!!!!" So I DID. And now not only am I a big girl, but I'm also liberated. I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about. It can be pretty scary stepping out beyond your comfort zone. Sometimes all we need is a little encouragement. And dear Dawn, I truly believe you have that gift. You never really know who you may touch with what you say,soooo ,I guess you could say I'm paying it forward. If some of you are holding back "Just do it, step out!" It's an adventure and you can't begin until you take that first step, and trust me, there are a lot of wonderful people out there who will walk with you and encourage you all the way.
